Wales has become known as the land of song. It is also famous for its beautiful scenery but whatever part of Wales you visit you will hear many ancient myths and folk stories. Anglesey and Holyhead are no exceptions! 

Some  myths or tales are  passed down from generation to generation unproven stories whilst others have been based upon historical findings but all add to the mystery of Wales :-
INTERESTING FACT OR FICTION?
King Arthur and the knights of the round table are one of the most famous tales of all with many links from various towns throughout the British Isles as well as deep roots linked to Anglesey
One such tale which is associated with this cave in Aglesey is that King Arthur sheltered here while engaged in a horrendous battle with Irish pirates. He had with him much of the Royal treasury and it was hidden in the cave where it still lies today - a mile underground! But where is the cave's entrance? It is said to be revealed at exceptionally low tides.
